The Sunday List - Wedding Guest outfits
What do I wear to a Summer wedding, I hear you ask. Well I've got a selection of beauties for you.
Wedding season is here, and with it comes the usual question…what the hell am I gonna wear? Whether you have just one invite or five stacked up on the fridge, finding the perfect wedding guest attire can feel like a mission in itself. This edit keeps it simple with versatile pieces that suit any setting, from laid back to dressy.
A countryside ceremony calls for something soft and romantic, while a city venue leans to a more polished vibe. Maybe you are into clean lines and neutrals, or you want to go bold with colour and print. Whatever your style, there is something here that fits without trying too hard. I’ve even included a few two-pieces here and there too.
My days of wedding invites have long gone unfortunately - it’s more divorce parties now!!! - but luckily these dresses will work for garden parties, birthdays, dinners, or even an elevated brunch with the girls. They are designed to be worn for all different occasions and the best kind of dress is one you will actually want to wear again and again.
Scroll on for pieces that are easy to style, easy to wear and that make getting dressed feel like less of a fuss and much more fun.

So there you have it, an easy round up of dresses that will see you through wedding season and beyond. Whether you are heading to a big country wedding, an intimate city registry office or just need something nice to wear to a summer party or big birthday bash, these picks are designed to work hard in your wardrobe.
Accessories make all the difference, so think about the vibe you are going for. Ballet pumps or low heel sandals will keep things comfortable, while delicate heels or a slingback can dress things up a bit. Add a clutch or beaded bag, a pair of earrings you actually like wearing and maybe a hair clip or two if you are feeling fancy. You do not need to go over the top, just pieces that feel like you. Just don’t wear a fascinator, that’s where I draw the line!!!
And that’s it really. Dresses you will actually wear. Pieces you can style your own way. Now you just need a reason to get dressed up, but let’s be honest, with the weather the UK is expecting next week, you could put your fancy dress on, grab a glass of your favourite tipple and chill out in the garden. Why not!
See you next week
