The Sunday List - Scarves, Sandals, and Summer Crushes
All the things I can’t stop thinking about this week.
Happy Sunday.
It’s time for The Sunday List, your cosy corner of the internet where we chat about the fashion things I’ve been quietly (or not-so-quietly) obsessing over all week.
This week’s mood? Silk scarves doing the absolute most, the perfect “I just threw this on” trouser, and an ongoing love affair with sheer, satin and ruching. I just can’t get enough apparently!
Expect a short, sweet scroll through what’s caught my eye, what I’ve worn too many times already, and the one item that’s haunting me across three tabs and two dreams.
Let’s get into it.
First up: the humble silk scarf is having a main character moment. Sure, it’s always been versatile, but right now the style du jour is tying it low on the hips, over trousers, skirts, or even shorts, like you've just wandered out of a chic Parisian bistro. It instantly elevates a look with minimal effort, and the best bit? It works with everything. Go classic with a printed vintage number or keep it fresh with a modern block colour. Trés cool and genuinely so easy to throw on, even if you're just heading to Pret.
Toteme monogram scarf, £200
Toast geometric scarf, £49
Le Scarf silk scarf, £145
Floral scarf, £75
Beige & black scarf, £77
These baggy organic cotton trousers I shared on Instagram? I had to give them a proper moment here. They’re roomy in the best way, incredibly comfy, and have that just-right length that makes them perfect for sandals or trainers. But the real magic is in the subtle detailing - little design touches that make people ask where you got them. Pair with a cropped vest or a relaxed tee for a no-brainer daytime look, or dress them up with something sparkly on top.
White organic cotton trousers, £74.99
The A.Emery Jalen sandals are back again and they’re still 10/10.
They’ve been around for a few summers now, and honestly, they’ve earned their place. Minimal, elegant, and available in multiple colours, they just go with everything. Whether you’re team black, tan or somewhere in between, this is the kind of sandal that makes packing for a holiday dramatically easier.
Suede sandals, £170
Never underestimate the power of a great vest. This one from M&S is such a solid staple. The kind of thing you buy in one colour, then immediately go back for the other four. At £7.50, you absolutely can. The fit is lovely, the neckline is flattering, and it layers beautifully under anything from oversized shirts to denim jackets. A true wardrobe classic.
Racerback vests, £7.50
Sheer things are still going strong and I’m very into this floaty longline top. It’s giving summer goddess in the best way. Lightweight and ethereal, it looks amazing over jeans, a cute mini, or even layered over your swimsuit for a beach-to-bar moment. A brilliant way to dip into the sheer trend without feeling too exposed.
Sheer flowing top, £99.95
This Staud red suede bag is a real cutie. It’s small but mighty and one of those bags that brings a whole outfit to life. The colour pops beautifully against denim, white linen, or a printed summer dress. Sling it over your shoulder and voilà, you’re the most effortlessly stylish person in the room.
Red suede bag, £315
Let’s talk about this perfect pop of green. This off-the-shoulder number is feminine without being fussy: soft, summery and just structured enough. Whether you’re dressing up for an al fresco dinner or just adding a bit of romance to your Tuesday, it’s a beautiful choice.
Green satin top, £49.99
This Clea white ruched dress is a true forever piece. It’s dreamy, elegant, and one of those dresses you’ll wear to everything from garden parties to summer weddings. The ruching makes it feel special, while the silhouette stays timeless. Just add sandals and a clutch, and you’re sorted.
Ruched white dress, £475
Open knit sweaters in summer are a vibe I fully subscribe to and this white cardigan is ideal for evenings when the sun dips but you’re not ready to go inside. Throw it on over a dress, a vest and jeans, or even swimwear, and it always looks right.
White cardigan, £89.95
This mini crochet bag is a sweet, boho-inspired addition to your summer wardrobe. It gives you that handmade, sun-drenched look without fully entering “I live at Coachella now” territory. Think of it as your outfit’s artisanal finishing touch.
Black crochet bag, £59.99
A good little black dress never fails and this one takes it up a notch with a sculptural silhouette that’s both flattering and seriously chic. The kind of piece you reach for when you want to look like you made an effort (without actually trying too hard).
Black mini dress, £87
This white two-piece set from Posse is pure holiday magic. Crisp, breezy, and so easy to wear, I’m mentally packing it for an imaginary trip to the Amalfi Coast as we speak. It’s on the wishlist for sure, I’ll just need to manifest a beach to go with it.
Posse white top, £ and matching skirt, £240
I lived in my Alaïa fishnet flats last summer and I’ll probably do the same this year.
These alternative ones come in at a very friendly £57 and offer that same cool, barely-there vibe. They’re breathable, surprisingly comfy, and available in four colourways. If you’re on the hunt for a sandal alternative, these are gold.
Black fishnet ballet flats, £57
This next item is firmly in ‘dream wishlist’ territory. A gorgeous piece with a gulp £660 price tag! Not one I’ll be adding to basket just yet, but a girl can admire. Fingers crossed a high street dupe appears very soon.
Juju Vera fish necklace, £660
The floaty scarf-detail top is such a beautiful piece. Dress it up, dress it down, the soft drape and versatile scarf styling makes it endlessly wearable. You can knot it at the back, wrap it round the neck, or let it flow. Ideal for those ‘I don’t know what to wear’ days.
Fluid scarf top, £65
Now this tee speaks to my soul. Perfect for the plan-cancel crowd (you know, those of us who'd rather stay in with a cup of tea and a good series than go out)". If your idea of good night is making it to the kitchen for a snack, this T-shirt is your spirit animal. Comfy, cool, and very relatable.
Anti Social tee, £67
Florals for summer? Always. This dress makes the case beautifully. With a pretty print and a flattering fit, it’s wedding guest-ready but also totally wearable with flat sandals and a denim jacket. Add a bold earring and you’re good to go.
Floral ruffle dress, £150
That’s all from me this week and my little round-up of the bits currently living rent-free in my head (and maybe soon in my wardrobe). Hope you have a lovely week, and I’ll see you next Sunday for more favourites, finds, and fashion obsessions.
