The Sunday List - Bras that Defy Gravity
No straps, no problem: stick-on bras that actually stay put.
Summer can be a tricky time for so many of us. The sunshine and longer days are lovely, of course, but it also means more skin on show. And if you’re anything like me and feel a bit self-conscious about wobbly arms, back rolls, or squidgy thighs, then getting dressed for the heat can feel more stressful than joyful.
I completely get it. Honestly, this time of year always makes me a little anxious too.
But here’s the thing - even when it feels tough, we deserve to wear the strappy dresses, the shorts, the bandeau tops and backless numbers. The more we wear them, the more we help to normalise all kinds of bodies. Because every body is beautiful, whether it’s big, small, boney, wobbly or somewhere in between. If someone has a problem with the way we look, then that’s a reflection of them, not us.

Now, on a more practical note - one of the most asked questions I get around this time of year is about what bras to wear when it comes to backless dresses, plunge styles and spaghetti straps. It’s no wonder so many of us want a bit of help figuring out what to wear underneath it all.
So I’ve put together a little edit of options to make life easier.
Personally, I’m a big fan of a stick-on bra. They’re not just for covering nipples (although those can be fab if you’ve got a smaller bust). There are also some brilliant ones out there that offer genuine support for those of us with more going on up top. In my edit, I’ve included a mix of styles I’ve tried myself, along with a few that come highly recommended.
First up is Nood - a brand I have been wearing for years. Their nipple covers are so good and I’ve recently got the Gamechanger lift and shape too and they stick like a dream.
