What a week. It’s been a busy one. The last of London Fashion Week before it moved onto Milan and then various press events, S/S24 previews and shoots days. Plus a new hair colour and biblical storms. It’s been mayhem.
I had to drive up the A1 to pick up my daughter who had got stranded in Welwyn Garden City during that relentless rain. If anyone is familiar with Welwyn, please can you let me know where the hell the station is because I couldn’t find it at 10pm at night, and with a child with 1% charge on her phone, we were both panicking as I couldn’t work out where she was.
In the end I just said go to John Lewis and I’ll find you there. Bless her she was like a drowned rat when I eventually found her standing in a leather jacket, mini skirt and DM boots. Why don’t teenagers ever dress for the weather!!!!
Anyway, as usual I digress! Back to this weeks style finds.
With the rain I’ve been searching for all things waterproof and I’ve found some gems. Plus gorgeous knits, supersized sunnies, a really good Alaia dupe and a mint/choc candle.
Enjoy!

Having been caught in the rain while in London on Wednesday, and having no raincoat, brolly or hat, I got absolutely drenched. Not a good look when I’m running around going to press appointments. It got me thinking, A rain hat is a really good option to an umbrella as it can be stuffed in most sized bags, weighs little to nothing and is pretty stylish too. Yes it doesn’t give you the coverage of a brolly, but at least my hair would have stayed dry! I’m loving Rains at the moment and here are my three fave waterproof hats. Great prices too.

From left: Bonnie hat, £29. Bucket hat, £29. Beige cap, £27 (reduced from £45)

Continuing on on the waterproof theme, I have this Protected Species parka and it is brilliant. Ultra light, breathable and keeps you bone dry. And comes in 7 colours. I also love this ultra light water repellent pop over jacket. Perfect for light showers.

Pop over jacket, £37.99

I love an ear cuff and on my search for the perfect one I found this one. I love a chunkier look and this is perfect.

A good tee is essential in your wardrobe and if you love a cool relaxed vibe, then this one from Alex Eagle Sporting Club is great. I see it tucked into straight leg jeans and trainers or with a pair of navy trousers (I like the ones pictured below) and heels. Super cool.

Pink tee, £80
Navy trousers, £199

Ok so there’s a running joke in my circle of friends ever since one of my very good and hilarious friends turned up to a dinner party with a half eaten box of After Eights as her ‘offering’. She’s never lived it down since! I think I might need to buy her this candle as a daily reminder!! This one has a hint of mint and chocolate. Sounds good enough to eat.
After Eight candle, £105

The Toteme stripy knit has been around for a few years, but it’s still just as good as the first time it came onto our radar. Proving it’s definitely an investment piece that will last forever in your wardrobe. At over 400 quid it’s definitely a pricey investment, but it is soooo good and a classic. I’ve also included a very good more purse friendly alternative below.

Toteme knits, £410
Stripy knit, £95

I really love a metallic trouser. They’re a really easy way to elevate a simple look without much effort. These silver ones are a great shape and look so good as styled here with a simple black top and black heels. I also love these gold ones which I’ve seen on one of my fave creators Santina Harrison. (check her out on Instagram here)

Silver trousers, £290. Gold trousers, £69

I own a few pairs of Saint Laurent sunglasses and always get asked about them. But I think I might have an addiction as these ones have now caught my eye (no pun intended). The oversized shape is so cool and while the sun is so low at the moment, I think they’re an essential part of my everyday wellbeing!!!
Saint Laurent sunglasses, £260

I mentioned these on my stories yesterday but in case you missed it, here they are again. An excellent dupe for the Alaia mesh flats that sold out instantly and were an eye watering £580. Well these ones look incredible. Snap them up before they’re gone. I have!

This is a very good knit. Looks like it could be Raey or Toteme, but in actual fact is from the high street and only £27.99. The high end look for less, love it!
Grey knit, £27.99
