The Sunday List #45
The most beautiful embroidered dress, a nightie as a daydress and Avery good black maxi skirt... 3 ways to style each one
After moaning about the heat, I’m now fed up with the drizzly weather we’re having. Can’t we just have a few days of the perfect temperature with no rain, a light breeze and a temperature around 21/22 degrees? It seems not!
The problem with the rain is layering. It’s still muggy and far too warm for a raincoat. I suppose we just have to make do with an umbrella.
Do I always talk about the weather? I’m such a typical Brit!!!
I’ve been dog sitting for my friend in Brighton this week and it’s been so lovely. I’ve done lots of work, wandered around the lanes in Brighton and enjoyed being by the sea. I’ve got another day and night here then home tomorrow.
I had a lovely follower all the way from Tasmania message me this week saying her copy of my book, The Forever Wardrobe has arrived and that she saw it in her local bookshop. How amazing is that - all the way in Australia. Feels surreal!
This week was the start of Copenhagen Fashion Week and it seems they’re having lovely weather over there - typical! I’ve been very much enjoying watching the shows and making notes. I’ll be doing a Substack newsletter with the rundown of my favourite looks in the next few days so with out for that.
I’ve spotted some lovely pieces that are perfect to take us into Autumn swell as through the rest of the summer.

First up is this beautiful plum coloured embroidered mini dress with the most stunning big collar. I would style with maryjanes and socks like the first outfit below, but there’s so many ways to wear. You could even tuck it into a full skirt and wear as a pretty top. Or wear over slim leg jeans. It’s a beauty.
