The Sunday List #32
Including an amazing linen mini dress that doubles as a top, a pair of very useful Adidas joggers and a gorgeous loose fitting short sleeve blazer that will be so useful for Spring.
Hello lovely people. How are you? I hope you’ve had a brilliant week.
I’ve had such a productive one. Monday was busy shooting a reel and images and then on Tuesday I recorded my audiobook for The Forever Wardrobe and I was so nervous, but it went really well. I’ll post more about my day at the recording studio on Instagram.
Then I had a busy day Wednesday starting off with a gorgeous full body massage at Kama Ayuveda which was incredible, then a press event at Strathberry on the Kings Road and then an evening with some Substack bestsellers which was an honour to attend.
I finally got my results from my MRI scan about my back and coccyx pain that I have been suffering with for nearly 2 years. It’s been a long old wait but I have been told I have arthritis in my lower back and am now being referred to the pain clinic to work out how to manage the pain and hopefully prevent it from getting worse.
Bloody hell, I feel like I’m 80!
So the rest of the week was spent writing, shooting content and trying to do as much walking as possible to get m’ old bones moving. I’m also going to start regular pilates classes in the hope that will help me gain some core strength.
But my newsletter still needs to be written so I’m sitting here on a doughnut cushion writing this in the most comfiest position I can find. Oh the glamour!
The 3 items I am coveting this week are pieces that I know I’ll get a lot of wear out of. I’m really trying to avoid buying things just because I love the look of them and instead look for pieces that will be useful as well as last for years. It’s so hard not to be ‘influenced’ on social media when we are constantly being bombarded with pretty things 24/7. But it’s important to stay mindful of what you actually need in your wardrobe rather than what you want and weigh up whether they would be a good buy.
So first up is this dress from Faithfull the Brand. I love the classic boat neck and fitted bodice. It has a tie waist which you can tie to the front or back to make it even more form fitting to the waist. I love it. I’d wear with trousers and then on it’s own in the height of summer or on holiday with sandals. So chic and effortless. (It also comes in a top which is sold out, but I’ll keep you posted if it comes back in stock)
