The weather has been really playing with us this week. One minute it’s bright sunshine and I’m sitting outside a coffee shop with a friend with my sunnies on enjoying the warmth on my skin, then the next is torrential rain, I have all the layers on, wrapped in a dressing gown, with a hot water bottle and slippers on.
Just make up your mind will you!
Even though it’s only March, those snippets of warmer climes make me toy with the idea that Spring might just be round the corner, but it never quite pushes through.
However, I’m forever in the hope that it won’t be long so my 3 items this week all will work for Spring, but I have also added an example of how you could style them for the cooler weather too. That way we can start wearing out new season clothes now.
With the arrival of an advance copy of my book last week, I’ve been reading through it and thinking of ways I can take my own advice and streamline my wardrobe a bit. It’s getting quite full again and one of the tips I suggest is to make sure you’re not repeat buying - well I’ve noticed my blazers and black trousers are gradually increasing again, so I need to keep them in check and let some of them go. This will be my task this week.

I’ve been trying not to look at the new in collections as I’ve just bought a new Alaia bag, and I’m on a spending ban! However I couldn’t help but admire the following three items. The first is a pair of really useful beige trousers. The hem can be adjusted to make them more of a balloon leg shape and they’re a great price at £54.99. The second item is this gorgeous double layered top for £210. Simple enough to wear everyday but with that point of different that gives the outfit a little bit of an edge. My third pick of the week is this incredible Solid & Striped x Sofia Richie Grainge collab black and cream dress, £480. It’s just stunning and can be dressed up or down. It’s available to pre-order now.
Take a look below for three different ways to wear each item. And if you have anything similar in your wardrobe, why not have a little play at dress up to see if you can recreate the look with items you already have.
