The Sunday List

Featuring an incredible pair of cow print pony hair mules (which I may have bought myself), a gorgeous burgundy shirt and the best dark denim barrel jeans.

Happy Sunday my friends, I hope you’ve had a good week. The nights are drawing in now and we’re well on the way to full Autumn season. Yippee.

I have found that I’m enjoying experimenting with my clothing a bit more at the moment. When I was younger and doing my fashion degree, I used to love wearing the weirdest attire and dressing as differently as I could. I’m no longer that person, but I do still like to style things differently and explore alternative ways of wearing things.

I find with Autumn/Winter clothing, we have more options to do this. There’s more fabrics and more layers to experiment and play around with. Whether it’s layering jumpers over jackets or wrapping scarves around knitwear or wearing skirts as dresses or exploring different proportions and accessories. After a summer of pretty dresses and shorts and vests, now is the time to fall back in love with fashion again.

I’m excited to add Autumnal colours to my wardrobe and give in to the richness of those deeper hues. Especially burgundy and browns (if you’re a paid subscriber I have a new September Fashion Journal newsletter coming out in a few days which looks at the autumn colours and trends I’ll be adopting this season). You can upgrade your subscription below.

The three items on my radar this week sang to me. They would all play a different role in my wardrobe but serve me well throughout the Autumn months. I may have already bought the cow print mules!

These shoes are amazing. They are low enough to be a good everyday shoe and elevated enough to bring a chic look to my outfits. Plus the texture will add interest. I can’t wait to receive mine.
