Autumn dressing, canvas field jackets, the best knitwear right now and my footwear choices for the season ahead.

September is always the most exciting time of the year for me when it comes to fashion. The new Autumn collections are coming in and as it’s my favourite season for clothing, I always get so excited.

That said, it has been a really warm end to August and the beginning of September looks like the temperature is going to continue to be in the mid 20s, so we’re not into coats just yet.

For this transitional period I like to mix some of my summer pieces like cotton skirts and dresses with light knitwear and jackets. We’ve seen a big trend for canvas jackets come out of the later half of the summer which are perfect as we transition into Autumn. So I have done an edit of my favourite field jackets and knitwear for you below.

Plus I’ve been looking at street style and working out what I’ll be focusing on for the season ahead. For me it’s going to be autumnal colours, crisp shirts, classic pleating, tailoring and dark denim.

Lastly, I’ve been thinking abut my footwear for the next few months and the styles I will be reaching for the most.
