Do you ever find yourself scrolling through Instagram getting the feeling of déjà vu? Does everyone look the same to you? There’s been a lot of talk recently about de-influencing and looking at creators that provide a different point of view and different aesthetic. But of course, the algorithm doesn’t make this easy for us as it shows us what it thinks we like by analysing the data of what we’re looking at and then showing us more of the same.

The problem with this is that our feeds are flooded with repetitive videos and images and we are not getting the diverse richness that the platform has to offer. I follow so many incredible creators. Some have a completely different style to me, but I still get inspired by them. However, a lot of the time, these accounts don’t show up on my feed. More often than not I’ve had to actively seek out a favourite creators account, only to find that I haven’t seen the last few months worth of their posts. It’s so frustrating.
