We have 4 questions in this months ‘Ask Anna’ all very different, so hopefully most of you will be able to take something away from it, even if it doesn’t specifically apply to you. Today we have questions about how to layer, cocktail dresses, how to know what to investing and shorter length winter coats.
So let’s get to it. Our first question is from Hil who asks:
I’d love some tips on how to layer well. I’m, apple shaped and short, love dresses and chore jackets but feel very bulky when I layer up. Any ideas appreciated, thanks!
Ok, well firstly lets explain what a typical ‘Apple shape’ is. I don’t tend to use these fruit terms anymore as I think they can be quite limiting and it is totally up to you what you wear as it’s about whether you feel comfortable in your clothes.
However, I totally know what Hil is explaining here. If her shape is a typical apple, then she will have quite slim legs and arms and carry most of her weight around the middle area. So perhaps have a rounded tummy, no defined waist and large bust. Hils shoulders will probably be wider than her hips which will be typically smaller.
