A few of favourite independents & small brands
From quirky Spanish brands to chic minimal and understated. Here's 16 of my favourite smaller labels.
The older I get, the more I find myself drawn to the charm and craftsmanship of smaller brands. There’s something really special about the way they pour care into every detail. The creativity, the mindful sourcing, and the dedication to quality all come together in a way that makes these pieces stand out. They’re always the ones I reach for most often in my wardrobe, and I find so much joy in wearing them.
Of course, there’s another side to this. Cost. It’s never a fun topic, but the reality is that these beautifully made items often come with a higher price tag than anything mass produced. I totally get that this can be a sticking point. For many, shopping from independent labels just doesn’t feel doable, and that’s completely understandable.
That said, I’ve had so many lovely chats with you in my DMs and I know a lot of you are trying to shop more consciously. Whether it’s avoiding fast fashion or being more intentional about where your money goes, there’s a growing desire to invest in pieces that feel meaningful. It’s not about fleeting trends or throwaway fashion. It’s about finding items you truly love and will wear again and again.
One little tip I’ve found really helpful is using preloved platforms. I have wish lists and saved searches set up for my favorite brands and keep an eye out for second hand treasures. It’s such a great way to find those special pieces at a more budget friendly price.
So with that in mind, I thought I’d share a few of my favorite brands that tick all the right boxes for me. These are the ones I have already invested in, or I have items on my wishlist due to their beautiful design, thoughtful practices, and timeless style. Whether you’re discovering them for the first time or already a fan, I hope they inspire you as much as they inspire me.
